Alfaro has beautiful eyes and a playful spirit! He and his siblings were found thrown out in the trash and never would have stood a chance on the street, but luckily Labs and More was able to take them in and they are now thriving in foster homes where they are getting lots of love and attention. While we don't know who his mom or dad was so don't know for sure his breed mix or how big he will get, we believe Alfaro will be around medium in size and looks to be Shepherd, Husky and Terrier mix. Alfaro has been socialized around kids of all ages and is great with kids, other dogs and even cats. He is crate trained and knows his basic commands of Sit, Down, Touch and Look. He is nearly housetrained in his foster home and great on leash.
Alfaro is an absolute sweetheart who is crate trained and sleeps through the night. His housetraining is coming along, but he needs regular and consistent outside time to remind him where the right potty place is. He's proving to be a smart cookie and has mastered 'sit,' 'touch,' and is getting better and better and 'down' and 'look' each day! He walks well on a leash and your heart will just melt when he crawls into your lap.
Alfaro is looking for a family that understands the time, patience, and energy needed to raise a young pup. We require all puppy adopters to provide training that includes: house training, basic training, leash training, and socialization. Additionally, this cutie is going to need proper exercise, mental stimulation, and your attention and love to grow up to be the best companion. We do not allow our dogs or puppies to sleep or live outside; they must be incorporated into your family and be made a priority in your life. In return, you will have the most loving and loyal family member you could ask for. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting a Costa Rica pup, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps.
Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing.
